 Time to forget

Tensed and ready he crouched, russet red fur bristling, the creamy color underneath that covered from the bottom lip to the tip of his tail and down hidden by the bushs. He watched as the deer fed, eyes locked onto the figures ahead of them before they gave a glance around, and as soon as they lowered their heads again. He launched himself from the under brush, raising his tail and snarling, silver eyes blazing in their sockets Draven was closing in on his prey. His teeth found their mark, claws began to rip into the deer's hide as he tore with fang and nail into his prey, anger seethed through him. Anger and sadness, a mixture that fueled him into this rage as he lept and chased down another deer, this one a large buck and although the buck's antlers tore at his fur he jumped again.
His leg was caught but he managed to latch himself onto the buck's back and neck area, tearing into flesh again as he had done with his last prey. As soon as the creature fell he turned to take in the clearing, the rest of the herd had run and Draven had managed to take down two deer, a large buck and a doe. He shook almost violently from exhaustion and fear of what he had just done, his silver eyes lined with tears and tail tucked between his legs. Although he was a large wolf, Draven was normally calm and gentle, sweet and caring being that wasn't much of a hunter. How this proved him wrong now! Shaking his head he walked back to sit between his two kills, staring at the forest floor and takling a breather before he dared to drag his prey back home.

Panik leaned her head into the clearest part of the area, her black and white head poking from the brush. She hadn't been so eager to hunt, but with no pack she had to sustain herself whether she liked it or not. When she had arrived, the scent of deer was getting stronger the farther she walked; now it seemed to disappear suddenly, along with the sound of hooves frantically galloping away. Snorting and lifting her lip she raised from her crawling position, letting the look casually slide from her face. Her shoulders were sticking up from her fur, pelt lifelessly dangling and swaying when she walked. The tips of her fur on her underside were dried with mud, for she had been laying in a hard patch of it that had clearly broken through. Body relaxed, she wasn't paying attention to her surroundings. The scent of deer was growing, and it aroused her senses. Perking her ears forward as she began her trot she could even start to hear deep breathing coming from the area she was headed towards; that meant she wasn't too far away. Quickly setting her eyes to the right of her flank she had noticed some of the mud came off in her run, but hadn't noticed how close she had come to a killed doe. It was a pretty nice size and she was just about to step right up to it when she heard the breathing, still. Spooked, she dropped right to the ground, head lowered to the male. She stared dead at him, unable to look at the doe; for if her vision slipped she'd be tempted to run and steal it. Ears curled but slowly laying back she waited for his reaction, slowly breathing. Panik hadn't yet noticed the buck he had also killed, so she couldn't understand why he was breathing like he was tired. Wagging her tail in the friendliest way she could when intimidated, Panik seemed like a puppy that wanted to play..
or a loner that had everyone to be wary of.
